Once upon a time in the distant future there was a spaceship. It hurtled through the cosmos at ever-increasing speeds, surrounded by nine others, all identical in size and shape. Giant cylinders, rotating on their axes and orbiting around a central burning ball of nuclear energy. Inside, hundreds of thousands of individuals lived, carrying out research, growing food and forests, attending to their own waste, and raising their children.

Their destination was Kyron, a planet orbiting a distant star system. Their origin was Earth.
